Dear Family,

The first order of business is to say farewell to the kitten I never knew and may I add good riddance. I am having quite the adventure out here and its non-stop action especially here in chiang mai. I have had some of the greatest and most interesting experiences while I have been here. I have more of them today. My companion is awesome. We get along great and have a lot of fun. We got along right off the back and we are pumped to work in this zone together. He is about 4 months younger than me, but he is a wicked good missionary. This last week we had another baptism for sister goey. She has traveled along ways to be baptized. She had a lot of family problems, but as she tells us, heavenly father has answered her prayers. She has a huge testimony of prayer and relies on the lord. Brother Nick also received the Aaronic priesthood on Sunday. He is doing so well. Sister dao is doing a boss job with her new calling. She, as you said mother, was very prepared and she has a lot of faith. I am very thankful that we were able to help her.

In the last couple of weeks we have done something that we have never done before. It is one of the most interesting experiences of my life and has changed my perspective on a lot of different things. We have started teaching a gatuuy. If you translate that to English it means transvestite. He (who would like to be a she) was a walk in that asked about English. But had a little curiosity about the church. We started teaching when elder xiayawong was here, but have continued to teach because he continues to come back. This last week was an interesting week because he informed us that he read the entire book of mormon. Now when we first met him, he didn’t believe even 1% because he believes in science and proof (he is very smart in fact, he teaches chemistry for a profession). The 3rd time we met him he believed 50% and this last time 80%. We can see the conflict that is going on inside. He is wrestling with the spirit. He has received an answer but hasn’t quite accepted it yet. He is a really good person and we along with sister Dao believe God is working with him.

Well those are some of the adventures of the week. We also traveled up to chiangray and lampang to help out the districts there. Our mission has a goal for 1 baptism per companionship this next month. We trying to get everyone stoked about it. This will build the faith of everyone more than anything else.

PS- Mother, I have to say that it is not a huge necessity that I receive a package for Christmas, but if you insist I would ask for 1 more stick of deo and nutella waffle mix cereal and socks
